The WCG 2007 Swedish Qualifier is set to take place later on today and will see Sweden's finest battle it out amongst themselves in order to secure the qualification spot at this year's World Cyber Games Grand Finals.

The Swedish Qualifierwill be hosted at "Fryshuset" in Stockholm. The tournament will commence in a group stage format (two groups of four teams) and will then see the top two teams from each group proceeding to a single-elimination bracket playing a best-of-3 scenario.

Sweden's three leading teams: fnatic, NiPand SK-Gamingare attending in the hope of qualifying for this year's finals which will take place in October in Seattle, USA at the Qwest Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks. fnatic will go in as favourites, having recently won GameGune. NiP will be hoping their new roster can achieve after having been disqualified from the NGL One Leagueearlier this week and being knocked out of the EuroCupyesterday by NoA while SK Gaming will be looking to finally silence their critics.
